Nepal, the country of Mount Everest and the land of birth of Gautam Buddha, is a small land-locked country. Only 59.5% of the total population is literate in my country. Among which males are the dominant. Females are still not allowed to attain education in my country. With almost half of the country illiterate one can imagine what may be condition of awareness. Nepal, has mostly high hills and mountains and some plains too. It is very hard for infrastructures to be built in the hilly regions. Education too is affected by the geography of Nepal as it is hard to even build the educational institutions. In the lack of place to learn and to get education, people are aware about very less thing. Nepal is naturally a very beautiful country. Thousands of tourists, visit Nepal to view its natural beauty. Home of several plant and animal diversity, Nepal has also been facing environmental problems like other countries do. People here poach animals like rhinos for a handsome sum of money. Deforestation is growing everyone for timber, firewood and other purposes. Glacier melting, effect of global warming, has been affecting the 8 high mountains of Nepal amongst the 10 highest mountains. Ever increasing number of private vehicles has been increasing our carbon emission. If only we can provide education to people or simply can aware them about environment, they may know how the biodiversity can been maintaining balance. How air, water, trees and foods are linked? How environment is above the lump of money? I fear that the beauty of my country will be seen by the futures only on pictures. |
