International youth day 2022Nepal youth council has organized a National youth conference on the occasion of international youth day 22 from 12 to 14 august in Kathmandu, Nepal. The national youth conference focused on various thematic areas( Entrepreneurship, SDGs, Media literacy, Good governance, and civic engagement and election). Several speakers have presented sessions on the different thematic areas. I also got the opportunity to attend these conferences, which gathered about 200 young participants from across the country of diverse religions, cultures, and educational backgrounds.

Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, the Honorable Speaker of the National Assembly, inaugurated the two-day conference in Kathmandu. On 1^st day of the conference, 3 sessions were conducted on homestay practices, the action of youth for ethical and transparent governance, and the importance of indigenous food. A Group of youth participants from different provinces performed their culture and tradition at the end of the program.

On the 2^nd day of the conference Rajendra Baniya, chief editor of Himalayan television conducted a session of action of youth for media. The panel discussion was performed on the topic of action of youth for SDGs(SDGs 3,4,5,8,13,16).  Various entrepreneurs have shared their experiences and success stories to inspire and motivate youth to achieve their goals. We have also participated in mock election sessions to encourage youth for the upcoming elections. Roshana subedi, campaign and educational associate of WWF Nepal shared the idea of greenovation to encourage youth to be part of conservation efforts.

On the last day of the conference, there is an interactive session with the former Prime Minister with youth. of youth from seven provinces presented their idea to improve voter education in their region and the organizer will contribute seed funds to implement their idea. There is a session on the interaction of the former prime minister with youth participants.

These conferences have become one of my most mesmerizing and lifetime experiences. I enjoy interacting with young individuals from various backgrounds. It became one of the best platforms for learning and  listening to opinions and information from specialists  and expert
