Thematic Report July ; Nature and I

by Sandhya Adhikari | 16-08-2022 03:57

Dear Mother Nature,

Do you remember the very first time that we came seeking your inspiration? We kept aside our brash belief that we have the power and potential to solve every problems by ourself and we considered you as our mother, mentor and asked for your guidance. Admiring the beautiful and chaotic floors of your forests and meadows, I love all your earth songs — the breeze rustling through the grass, the rhythm of the crickets, the beating of the wings and the melody of coocoo. Now here we are, decades into our love affair, and we are still learning from you more and more each day each hour and each second of our life— It amazes me how your patterns can heal us, how your models can guide us, how your existence cheer and gears me up. And we believe that reconnecting with our love for you will not only lead us to more circular systems, but also help us to become healthier and more productive too. How amazing to learn that spending time with you, or in spaces designed to be evocative of you, may result in reduced stress levels, faster healing rates, and improved cognitive functioning. Thanks for everything you do for us.

Do you think we are fair with you? With a heavy heart i write to apologize that our action had a great impact to you. We didn¡¯t always love you the way we do now. In fact, until now, we didn¡¯t even realize how intrinsically we were connected to you. We didn¡¯t know that our every action affects you, we feel sorry to see how our action is creating negative impact on you, your natural identity are in the verse of extinction. How the chemicals that we use intoxicate the natural bodies, how toxic the land has became due to our activities.  But then we were awakened, and we fell so deeply in love with you that others called us crazy. And our love for you transformed every aspect of ourselves—how we operate, how we make decisions—even our purpose. Here, surrounded and permeated by your creation, I feel you. I feel life. I know myself, connected, responsible and admirable.

With love,

Your daughter
