In NBS we work with nature rather than against it. Here are some nature-based solutions for disaster risk reduction

Plantation:

Plantation of trees in bare land helps in disaster reduction. The root of the Tree holds the soil and prevents it from being loose. And it holds excess water too.

Conservation of wetland

It helps to prevent floods by absorbing excess water. It is the source of water during dry periods and prevents water shortages. We should protect the wetlands for a better environment.
