by ALOK DHAKAL | 12-08-2022 02:12

28th Ambassadorship, Month 5, Report 2
Month: July
Thematic report
Topic: Nature and I

We as being a responsible citizen must respect nature's values and obligations in a proper manner. People have a right to a good environment, which is necessary for human welfare, if they have a right to life. One should do all possible things from his/ her side to protect and conserve nature and mother earth. It is duty of everyone to contribute to preserve nature from exploitation and preserve for future generations. This report is might be different that from mentor¡¯s guideline, my apology for that. Here are some activities that I do which also I believe most of you do in your life.

1.Use 3R principle: Reduce, reuse, and recycle. We must reduce the amount of waste you produce. To protect natural resources and landfill space, adhere to the three "R's".

2. I participate in community cleanup programs/ plantation program by volunteering.
3. Educating children: I share my knowledge with school students and provide them information on significance and worth of our natural resources. Recently, I also participated in awareness program done by Meena Pandey, winner of eco generation sponsorship program.

4. Prefer use of goods that are sustainable and environment friendly.

5. Use cotton bags rather plastic bags while shopping. And the most, I try to purchase less plastic items.

6. We prefer to use light bulbs with a long life in our home. Greenhouse gas emissions are reduced by using energy-efficient light bulbs.

7. Planting tree in my house periphery. They aid in energy conservation, air purification, and halting climate change.

8. I generally use bicycle rather than public bus for short distance travel. This keeps nature clean and also make oneself healthy.

These are some of them, I wish to hear from you all what other things that you do to conserve nature. Thank you!
