Solution to Global Warming: Edible Insects?

by Cheha Paik | 31-07-2022 19:53

It might sound disgusting, but edible insects have many benefits. For example, eating bugs can be a food source that provides heavy nutritional values. However, it has another important benefit.

We all know that global warming is a serious issue. It has gone to the point where places around the world filled with glaciers and ice are beginning to melt. Unfortunately, we are the main cause of this problem. For instance, we work in factories that heavily contribute to global warming through combustion. But how does all of this relate to edible insects?

It is a known fact that the increase in greenhouse gas emission causes global warming. Believe it or not, insect farming and processing significantly lowers greenhouse gas emission. There are many ways these edible insects reduce climate change. One such example is that edible insects provide equivalent amounts of quality protein compared to animals. Therefore, insect farming can be a better choice than taking care of livestock. This helps with climate change because insect farming requires less care and resources compared to livestock. These resources can include less land, water, feeding, and human labor, which ultimately can reduce global warming.

In conclusion, although it can look disgusting to eat, edible insects are actually very beneficial to the environment. It can help reduce global warming, which is one of the biggest problems humans are facing right now. So how about eating insects for lunch nextime?
