by ALOK DHAKAL | 02-06-2022 18:28

28th Ambassadorship, Month 4, Report 1
Month: June
Free report
Topic: Benefits of sustainable agriculture

In my previous I discussed on sustainable agriculture and their methods. In this report, I will be letting you know more about benefits of sustainable agriculture.
The benefits obtained from sustainable agriculture are:

1. Aids in the preservation of the environment
The environment plays a critical role in meeting our basic necessities for survival. In turn, it is our responsibility to protect the environment so that future generations do not go without. Sustainable agriculture contributes to the replenishment of the soil and other natural resources like as water and air.

2. Conserves energy in the long run
Agriculture in the modern era is primarily reliant on nonrenewable energy sources, particularly petroleum. To the degree that it is economically practical, sustainable farming systems have minimized the requirement for fossil fuels or nonrenewable energy sources by substituting renewable sources or labor.

3. The Protection of public health
Pesticides and fertilizers are not used in sustainable agriculture. As a result, farmers produce fruits, vegetables, and other products that are safer for consumers, employees, and the communities in which they are grown. Sustainable farmers may safeguard humans from infections, poisons, and other dangerous pollutants by carefully and properly managing animal waste.

4. It helps to avoid pollution.
Sustainable agriculture entails that any trash generated by a farm is recycled within the farm's ecology. The garbage will not be able to pollute the environment in this manner.

5. It helps to keep the natural soil from eroding.
Soil erosion has been a severe danger to our ability to produce enough food. To hold soil in place, a variety of strategies have been devised, including decreasing or eliminating tillage, regulating irrigation to decrease runoff, and covering the soil with plants or mulch which are all followed in sustainable agriculture.

6. Reduces cost of farming
Sustainable agriculture reduces the costs of farming in general. Everyone involved in the agriculture industry has benefited from smarter farming and more efficient food transportation from farm to fork. Sensor data from seed drills, sprayers, and spreaders, as well as drones, satellite photos, and soil, is used to make surprises a thing of the past.

7. Environmentally friendly
Sustainable agriculture decreases the need for nonrenewable energy resources, benefiting the environment as a result.

These are some of the benefits of sustainable agriculture. I hope you all are now fully aware on ¡®Sustainable agriculture¡¯. Thank you!
