The fear of the known unknown

For the purpose of my undergraduate study, I opt for India. Currently enrolled in the final semester of environmental sciences in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Being raised and growing up in the lap of Himalayan I had never faced the scorching heat. Below is the expression of how locals feel about the changing climate change and its impact on their daily lives.

Throughout the time I spent here as a student I was an explorer also not traveling to new places every day but the one who try to look deep into the minds of people and their struggling. One of the most common phrases people fear here is the scarcity of water in the coming years. When you travel around the people and observe their talks regarding the low level of groundwater as they spent much on pumping through motors for their daily usages. All of them are well aware the problem of water will rise exponentially and there could be aggressive moves to secure the limited available water.

You have the problem of water in your house but you have to travel so that you can feed your family. If you belong to a well family you have everything to make your life easier but those people who cross limits to go to bed with a belly full are dying here. Traveling in a vehicle where they have to wait in 45+ degrees Celsius and even the travel is not good the flow of hot air drying all your body and face feels like standing in front of a jet of hot steam.

Another thing is how all are impacted psychologically with all of these problems escalating the instability of household communications and eventually their mental health.

Concluding some of the major highlights impact of climate change among locals the pity thing is they don¡¯t know it is due to climate change thus making this battle more rigorous to fight and difficult to attain the goals of sustainability. They are only able to evaluate all of this because it is impacting their lives and here ¡®they¡¯ refers to the unprivileged group of people who have less access to good infrastructure and education. Thus, organizations involved in the protection of people and combating climate change should work in collaboration in order to save millions.

At last, we should emphasize the fact that there remain only a few solutions one of them being,

¡°Save NATURE to be saved¡±
