Forest fire is an uncontrollable fire inside forest area. Fire spreads quickly in the area with a large mass of dried grass, leaves, and light branches. Unplanned and unexpected forest fires lead to the degradation of forests while controlling burning helps in improving the forest. Forest fires exasperate bio-diversity and the environment. Fire can make stride environment well-being by lessening competition, fertilizing the soil with cinder, and diminishing infections, and pests. A few plants indeed require fire for their seeds to sprout.. Forest fires may occur due to natural causes like lightning and carelessness of human beings like a disposed of cigarettes in the forest, campfires, and arson. electric spark and any source of ignition come in with inflammable material. Wildfires can spread uncontrolled, But the intensity and movement of a wildfire depend on factors like fuel, weather, and topography. Weather conditions such as wind, temperature, and humidity also contribute to spreading wildfire and topographical features like slope aspect and elevation also affect wildfires. Geography moreover influences the spreading of fire, which spreads rapidly uphill and gradually downhill.

 Effects

wildfire damage adaptable land for specific animal and plant species And modifies and kills the plant leading to loss of ecosystem and biodiversity.

. Living trees purifies the atmospheric air. Due to forest fires, large masses of trees and forest vegetation are wiped out which leads to the degradation of the forest. Due to forest fires , the quality of air declines, and an increase in greenhouse gas leads to climate change. Due to discharge of huge amount of smoke and dust causing air pollution.

Wildfires also kill useful soil microorganisms.

Smoke and dust released during forest fires cause intense breathing distress and worsen the well-being of an individual with respiratory disorders.

There are several ways to mitigate the destruction by wildfires we should be more responsible when handling fires in the forest

Prevention measures

keep flammable objects far away from the forest.

Avoid burning wastes around dry grass and forest.

Ensure preventative measures before the fire season.

Regular training should be given to forest staff and people of the community based on the information and tool to safeguard forests from fire.

Public awareness should be done to protect from fire.
