Online Podcast: Snow Leopard conservation and Ecosystem Restoration

Hello Everyone,

This is to notify that Tunza Eco generation and IVSA Paklihawa, local MO under IVSA Nepal, is going to organize an online podcast entitled ¡°Snow Leopard conservation and Ecosystem Restoration¡±.

For this podcast, we have Mr. Rinzin Phunjok Lama( wildlife biologist and conservationist,Winner of Rolex Awards for Enterprise  2021, WWF Nepal Conservation Award in 2020)as resource person.

About the resource person:  Mr. Rinzin Phunjok Lama.
Rinzin Phunjok Lama is an internationally recognized conservation biologist who works with wildlife and communities in Nepal's trans-Himalayan region. He has been awarded the WWF Nepal Conservation Award in 2020 and the prestigious Rolex Award for Enterprise 2021 in recognition of his effort for biodiversity conservation in Nepal¡¯s Trans-Himalayas.
Rinzin Phunjok Lama, a native of Nepal's Nyinba Community in the Humla District, comes from one of the world's wildest and most remote areas, and has long advocated for local community engagement in biodiversity protection and sustainability. His vision is to strengthen community-based conservation by focusing on capacity building of community institutions, promotion of local citizen scientists, social enterprise development for livelihood diversification, and promoting good governance to build more pliable and self-reliant communities as the first graduate in the field of nature conservation from Humla. His research interests include high-altitude wildlife and ecology, human-animal conflict, human footprints and landscape change, climate change, citizen science, and indigenous resource management systems.

This podcast  is scheduled at 5: 00 PM, 28th Feb, 2022 and will be live from the Facebook Page of Tunza Eco Network (https://www.facebook.com/Tunzaeconetwork). So, all the interested individuals can join us tomorrow.
