The Different Lifestyle in Europe and Indonesia

I have studied abroad in Latvia for 5 months, and I have already been back to Indonesia since a month ago. I have noticed cultural differences between the country, and I would like to share my experience. I want to specifically talk about the culinary system.

In the dorm back in Latvia, I would be cooking almost all my meal. I would have gone to a grocery shop, purchase the food that I want to consume for a week or two, then cook the food at appropriate times when I want to eat. I have never ordered delivery or take-out whilst in Latvia. Although they have a delivery application similar to Indonesia, the other students that were in the same boat as me had expressed how the delivery costed 4¢æ. It is a bit costly, as you can get a burger packet with the same price and cheaper.

In Indonesia, I am still the same with purchasing groceries and cooking them. However, if I am tired, then my family and I would opt for food delivery. The price is cheap with it being around 1¢æ per delivery, and it is better than to tire oneself out. So it is a difference that I have noticed regarding my habit whilst abroad and in Indonesia. I am not saying that I want the prices of food delivery to be higher in Indonesia, as it helps me in being practical and not too tired. So this experience is a food for thought to everyone.
