27th Ambassadorship, Month 6, Report 2 Thematic Report: February Theme: What I am Doing to Help the Environment Title: What I am Doing to Help the Environment Hello everyone, I hope everyone are fine. Its last month for 27th ambassadorship. I would like to thank mentors and eco generation for the support they are providing. Based on the theme provided here is my article. Change starts from an individual and should initiate yourself. Below are some of the activities that I am doing to help environment. Not only me, I have encouraged my family members and community members to follow sustainable practices and help environment to heal. a. I follow reduce, reuse, and recycle. I follow these three "R's" in my daily activity. One of the example, is reuse of bottles to keep and carry water, carry bag when shopping. b. I regularly do volunteer works that ensures environment conservation. One of them is volunteer for cleanups in my community. c. Educate people. This is an important thing that I really like to do. I guide my family, neighborhoods, relatives to understand the importance and value of our natural resources and use them wisely. d. I choose sustainable lifestyle. e. While shopping I try to avoid buying plastic items and always bring on a reusable shopping bag. f. I usally see the label on light bulbs. light bulbs that are energy efficient reduce GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions. Also close the light, fan switch off when leaving the room! g. In my birthday, I plant a tree. They help save energy, clean the air, and help combat climate change. h. I usually use bi cycle on short trip and discard cars. These are some of the things that I do to help environment and mother earth heal. |
