[Thematic report] Carbon Neutrality

by Nadir Huseynov | 03-01-2022 09:22

Carbon neutrality means reaching a net zero by balancing carbon dioxide emissions with carbon dioxide emissions or simply eliminating carbon dioxide emissions altogether. Used in the context of carbon dioxide - release processes associated with transport, energy production, agriculture and industrial processes. Carbon neutral status can be achieved in two ways:

Balancing carbon dioxide emissions with carbon offsets, often carbon offset , is the process of releasing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to reduce or prevent greenhouse gas emissions or to replace waste elsewhere. If the total greenhouse gas emissions are equal to the total amount avoided or emitted, the two effectively eliminate each other and the net emissions are 'neutral.
Reduction of carbon emissions to zero with variable energy sources and industrial processes. Switching to renewable energy as well as nuclear energy reduces greenhouse emissions. Both renewable and non-renewable energy produce carbon emissions in a certain way, and renewable energy has at least zero carbon emissions.
Fossil emits less carbon than fuels. Making changes in existing industrial and agricultural processes to reduce carbon emissions.
Although the term "carbon neutral" is used, a carbon footprint also includes other greenhouse gases (IGGs), generally carbon-based , according to which carbon dioxide equivalence is measured . This expression is New Oxford American Dictionary ' Word of the Year 2006.Duration climate neutral in the other greenhouse gases reflects a wider coverage of climate change, CO, even is the richest. The terms are used interchangeably throughout this article. The term "net zero" is increasingly being used to describe a broader and more comprehensive commitment to decarbonization and climate activity beyond carbon neutrality by including more activity within indirect emissions. only opposed relying on compensation
