Who are solar photovoltaic electricians?

These are professionals behind proper installation and effective working of both home based and commercial buildings solar systems.

Solar energy systems are low carbon technology that convert the renewable energy from the sun to electricity that may be done using solar photovoltaic panels.

Solar photovoltaic electricians assemble, set up, and perform routine maintenance on solar panel systems and support structures in accordance with building codes and structures.

Before installation, they assess the conditions of the structures on which it is going to be done and suggest changes accordingly. For example, for a rooftop installation, an old, dilapidated roof needs to be replaced before solar panels are placed so as to prevent roof damages and enable durability of the solar systems.

They test and activate the installed equipment and apply weather sealant to them. They must wear safety equipment such as gloves and helmets in order to prevent injury from shocks, falls or any other accidents that could happen during installation.

 

For one to be a qualified solar photovoltaic electrician, all they need is a license and certification from an appropriate technical school in the country.
