Thematic Report, December. Careers Related to Renewable Energy

by Vazira Ikhtiyorova | 05-12-2021 16:12

Dear all,

Hope you are doing well. It has been a pretty good time so far to research regarding environmental but interesting topics. As it was announced, the careeers related to renewable energy are not well-known or popular among young people compared to economics, politics, and etc.

I personally have been pursuing my bachelor's in computer engineering, yet thinking of helping to ecosystem with this knowdledge. There is a green engineering which can interest someone studying like me. It is a broad field to be explored. These engineers assist in the development of cost-effective and high-efficiency wind turbines and solar panels.  Engineers that work in environmental engineering combine chemistry, biology, and soil science with engineering concepts to provide solutions to environmental challenges. Environmental engineers do not all have degrees in this field; in fact, many job listings require geotechnical or civil engineering degrees.

Biofuel engineering is a fascinating topic of environmental engineering. When biofuels become widely available and start fueling our cars and aircraft, or heating our houses, they are expected to have a significant impact on our lives. Biofuel engineers work on improving the processes and equipment needed to deal with biofuels.

Engineering is as broad as environmentalism. Hence, I do believe that trying firstly will help you to understand more and say if this is something you want to do for the rest of your life! Internships will definitely help out with the choice. Hope it helps and could convey, thanks!
