The Pale Blue Dot

by HASSAN ABUBAKAR MUHAMMAD | 24-11-2021 19:59

Look again at that dot. That is here. That is home. That is us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you have ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives.

The aggregate of our joy and suffering, the confident religions, ideologies and economic doctorines, every hunter and forager, every hero ane coward, every creator and destroyer of civilisation, every king and peasant, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of moral, every corrupt politician, every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mere dust supended in a sunbeam.

On Valentine's Day, 1990, 3.7 billion miles away, the Voyager1 spacecraft takes a historic photography of the Earth.
The picture, known as Pale Blue Dot, depicts our planet as a nearly indiscernible speck, roughly the size of a pixel.
The image's legacy is that it inspired us to recognize Earth's importance, its fragility and its uniqueness.
LET US SAVE THE PALE BLUE DOT, OUR HOMEWORLD!
