While the use of pesticides and chemicals is becoming more and more common, its uncontrolled use destroys the bacteria and other elements in the soil as well as the biodiversity in the soil. Similarly, human health can be adversely affected. Research has shown that the use of chemical-based agricultural products has been playing a major role in increasing the incidence of cancer-causing diseases in the skin, eyes and other organs. Some of the pesticides are found in human blood and in milk and other food items. But today in the world, many alternative methods are being developed to solve such issues. Among the three alternative methods, Bokashi manure making technology is also one. This technology is a Japanese technology that can be prepared from materials available at home.

Fertilizer preparation material: Rice husk: 100 kg. Mustard cake: 10 kg. Bone dust: 10 kg. Effective micro-organisms (EM): 150 ml Bheli or Sakhkar: 150 gms Water: 35 liters

How to make manure

Put 35 liters of water in a plastic drum and mix it with 150 ml of effective microbial (EM) solution and 150 g of bheli or sakhkar for 24 to 48 hours. Mix the above ingredients well and sprinkle the effective microbial (EM) water solution well in it and then make it into a pile or a lump and put it in a plastic bag or a container. After 2 days, turn upside down and upside down to transmit oxygen inside the pile.

Repeat this process 5 times every 3/3 days. Water should be given as required to keep the moisture in the pile. Thus Bokashi manure is ready in 20 days in summer and 45 days in winter or winter.

How to use manure

Moisten around the plants before using manure. Depending on the age and species of the plant (e.g. 15 to 20 gms for a 10-12 day old plant, about 100 gms for a vegetable or fruit plant). When applying manure, do not place it directly on the roots of plants. When using manure, the manure should be mixed with soil or covered with soil. At least 15 to 20 cm. Till it should be covered with soil.

Benefits

Bokashi manure can be easily prepared at home using raw materials available at home. Manure can be prepared at a lower cost than other organic manures. Fertilizer can be easily made in a small space or in a plastic or any other container. The use of Bokashi manure can increase the fertility of the soil and produce healthy and nutritious food items. Once made Bokashi manure can be used for 2/3 years.

Once the prepared manure is placed in the soil, the nutrients required by the plants can be provided within 2 to 4 weeks. Meat, fish and other fragrant substances can also be used to make bocas manure. Properly covered, it will withstand a great deal of adverse conditions.

Why is Bokashi manure is more useful than compost? Bokashi manure is prepared faster than compost and does not produce large amounts of carbon dioxide while maintaining nitrogen content. The pH found in the goods. That is, based on the measurement of acidity, the pH of compost and pH of bocas manure are 4/5. H. 7/8. The process of preparing bocas manure is quicker and easier than compost. The use of Bokashi manure will activate the special bacteria in the soil.
