by Asmita Gaire | 24-10-2021 03:20

Before I start focusing on the topic, I hadn't received any mails regarding the thematic report topic in my email, and was waiting for the topic. After I saw ambassadors focusing on the Eco friendly Waste Management as a thematic report. I also write being based on it. However, I am still not clear why I didn't receive email regarding the topics.

Eco Friendly Waste Management

We have been discussing on zero waste lifestyle, eco friendly future and  several other topics. All are directly linked to eco friendly environment. It is obvious lots of wastes get produced naturally as well as from human. The environment can be maintained healthier only when we take step for eco friendly waste management.

It¡¯s undeniable that we are so into all kinds of wastes that includes biodegradable, non biodegradable and chemical forms. The biodegradable wastes can be managed in a great way that is eco friendly as well as benefits human. The wastes from kitchen that are biodegradable can be used for making compost. The compost manure preparation procedure is easy and you don¡¯t need to be a professional. If you have basic idea on preparing compost manure also you can prepare them in your home. This compost manure would benefit being the perfect manure for your plants nourishment.

In some communities, the animal dung as well as biodegradable wastes are used in biogas plant for producing bio gas. If there¡¯s biodegradable wastes in large scale then construction of biogas plant is widely recommended. The biogas is widely used for fuel purpose substituting LPG gas. In rural areas of Nepal where people are practicing the animal husbandry, biogas plant is seen.

The non biodegradable wastes can be managed by keeping them in separate bin. In Nepal, every week the wastes are collected by waste management team employed by government. Non biodegradable wastes must be disposed only after they no more have utilities. First, they must be looked after for recycle purpose for reuse and repurpose. If we follow this trend, the waste produced will be greatly reduced.

In addition to this, there are some unavoidable chemical wastes from the hospital, laboratory and other places. These wastes must be disposed separately. The chemical wastes may act as the agent for several diseases and catastrophe. So, proper clinical protocols must be followed up by every personnel using and disposing the chemical wastes.

In this way, we must differentiate biodegradable, non biodegradable and chemical wastes and dispose them separately. This can be one of the step towards eco friendly waste management.
