The zero waste movement

by Fernanda Roepcke | 30-09-2021 03:00

The concept of zero waste came together with the growth of sustainability guidelines, which makes us reflect on the action of disposing of waste and how we do it. Many cities around the world do not have selective collection, which makes the issue of zero waste movement even more alarming.
Zero waste is intended to promote better reuse of waste, both recyclable and organic. The main point that this movement discusses is about rethinking our attitudes and how much garbage we produce.
Another fundamental attitude of zero waste is to verify if the brand of the product we consume really needs plastic packaging, considering this, several brands are already designing practical and sustainable packaging. Within these brands there are those of clothing, fabrics, household items and even natural groceries.
We start by rethinking, reducing, reusing, recycling and then reintegrating whenever possible so that we generate a more sustainable society. You can find more about the movement on the internet and also inspirations in the hashtag #zerowaste on Instagram or any other social network.
