Land is getting more and more expensive and used up. In America especially, there is not a lot of land left to create more land for cultivating and agriculture. Furthermore, a lot of time is needed for the land to replenish it's nutrients and allow planting to occur again. Seasons also affect the agriculture and many times the land given for agriculture cant be used in times of winter and due to extreme weathers. Technology is truly amazing. Recent development on Vertical farming can maybe fix this problem and increase sustainability in the agricultural industry. Vertical farming is a technique where it is building a agricultural farm up like a building. Furthermore, vertical farming does not use soil, is not affected by weather, and more over does not occupy the immense amount of space that traditional agricultural practices provide. Vertical farming is the future of agriculture. Its development significantly increases the sustainability of agriculture as it reduces the downtime and the overuse of soil, a valueable source in our world. Vertical Farming is the future of agriculture. There are still obstacles from making it fully functional such as the culture of traditional farming and others, but we may be able to see it come to reality in the next coming years or decades.
