Bhutan's efforts to reverse climate change

by pallavi singh | 31-08-2021 04:21

Today, we'll discuss about Bhutan's efforts to reverse climate change!

As you may be aware, there is a tremendous amount of pollution produced every day! We are generating so much gas that the earth is becoming increasingly heated. However, there is a country called Bhutan that is working to reduce climate change! While the rest of the world is polluting, Bhutan is simply releasing pure air! How do they manage to do it? Bhutan is the world's only carbon-negative country! One requirement in the country is that 60 percent of the land must be preserved as forests, and Bhutanese citizens are not permitted to cut down trees! They even set a Guinness World Record for the most trees planted! Bhutan also has a tourism ban! If you wish to visit Bhutan, the cost is $250 per day, with $65 of it going to environmental programmes to help our Mother Earth! Bhutan is the only country on the planet that uses entirely renewable resources! All automobiles will be converted to electric vehicles! We can say goodbye to climate change and live in peace if we keep going and promote this process to the rest of the globe!

Please help to make the world a better place to live for future generations!
