Today, we'll discuss how the Philippines is lowering tourist numbers in order to safeguard the oceans and the ecosystem!

Overtourism is a major issue all around the world! So much so that it has the potential to poison the ocean! Most tourists endanger wildlife for the sake of a quick selfie! This is a major issue all throughout the world, and the Philippines chose to help because nature has been suffering greatly!

First, they shut off every harbour and beach in the vicinity, preventing people from visiting! Second, they cleaned up their beaches and removed rubbish, allowing ocean wildlife to live in peace! They also built a sewage system to keep sewage from polluting the environment by flowing into the ocean.
They demolished some structures to make room for more sand in their location! People took less boats to help clean up the region! Electric tricycles have been substituted with diesel tricycles by the government! They also restricted the amount of visitors in order to safeguard the environment! This is a fantastic way to safeguard our wildlife!

Please help to make the world a better place to live for future generations!
