Agrotourism

Despite its emergence, agroecotourism is one of the fastest growing areas in the world. The growth of the world's population and urbanization are giving impetus to the development of this area. Also, people are already more interested in alternative types of tourism, instead of the mass tourism created by the trinity of sea, sand and sun. City dwellers want to live in the village, albeit for a short time, spend the night on the farm, eat natural agricultural products, and come into contact with nature. At the root of the emergence of agro-tourism is the desire to realize this dream. Another reason why agro-ecotourism is interesting for the urban population is that during the trip they get acquainted with different cultures and local cuisines of the regions they visit, and taste local dishes.
Agro-ecotourism , which originated in Europe in the 1980s, has a wider scope today. In both developed and developing countries, agro-eco tours are organized to support local farmers and create alternative sales channels for them. Agro-ecotourism can also be called a social project. Thus, this area of tourism can contribute to solving the problems of the population living in the regions, such as unemployment and low incomes.
