by tatuli kvaratskhelia | 09-08-2021 21:02

In the recent years¡¯ sustainability is becoming very popular. Nowadays more and more companies and industries realize just how damaging their practices are to the environment. For some, increasing consumer demand for businesses they support to have a positive impact has forced them to rethink their priorities. Studies showed that 88% of consumers stated that they want brands to help them be more environmentally friendly and ethical in their everyday lives. In reality, even though that there¡¯s a movement for a greener future, we still can see the damage on the climate change.

These big companies are trying to find solutions to seemingly unsolvable problems, they are seeking for new ideas and because of that more and more green tech startups are becoming popular. I would like to show you some projects that encourage real environmental changes.

Wonderfil – They focus mainly on plastic pollution. They have designed a ¡°dispenser service that integrates into any location wanting to offer liquid and cream products without plastic bottles¡±The aim is that leading brands will be drawn into providing their products at bulk dispensaries where people can pay and top them up as and when required, instead of buying a totally new product and wasting further plastic. They are also creating online resources that serve to educate people on impacts of  plastic pollution.

TeknTrash – the main objective of this start-up is to gain a bigger picture of what we¡¯re recycling and where it goes. They are rewarding people who show the evidence of recycling certain products and redeem points in the form of trips, gifts and promotions.

Facedrive – they offer rideshare service with greener and hybrid options and also offer tree planting initiative to offset the carbon produced that you can physically track in app.
