Lock down has provided us enough time to learn new things ,explore different topics. Social media provides us different opportunity . As I have a keen interest in diplomacy, negotiation and researching and I got an opportunity to participate in grant Climate MUN II as a delegates of srilanka in the committee UNEP. 

MUN has been a majestic platform to learn about diplomacy, international policies, global politics and advocacy. Model United Nation(MUN) ,is an extra curriculum in which students typically play role of delegates to the United Nation and stimulates UN committees.MUN involves and teaches participates speaking,debating ,writing in addition to creative thinking ,teamwork and leadership ability.

In MUN,delegates  representing different country discuss on specific agenda and prepare resolution on specific agenda discussed. At the end of conferences,different awards like Best Delegates are awarded to deserved delegates.

Through this MUN,I got to know more about the facts and information, country policy about environment and impacts of this covid. Impacts of COVID 19 on environment and waste management. we have altogether delegates of 40 nations participating. In this two days, I have conquered my research, negotiation, public speaking and communication skills to mention a few. And the best part of this MUN is that I was awarded as Best delegate in the committee. I am glad to be honored as best delegate. I have researched so much and prepared myself for this MUN.

Last but not the least, I request every youths to take part in this type of conference for the development of personal skills and develop the nation.
