Tunza Eco generation regional Ambassador to Asia (Meena Pandey) and ambassador to Nepal (Alok Dhakal) collaborated with Hult Prize IAAS Paklihawa Campus back in November, 2020 to hold the grand event of ¡®Hult Prize¡¯ at Paklihawa Campus, Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), Tribhuvan University. The atmosphere among the students and teaching staff was full with excitement to have this global level program at our own college under the theme ¡®Food for Good¡¯. All the students were really excited to have it, but due to pandemic the event was held online. It would have definitely been so fascinating if held in person. Nevertheless, the participants of the program were excited although it was at online platform. We received a hundreds of registered participant to attend the program. 8 team were selected by the organizing community who applied for pitching their idea under this theme. Out these team, We were able to have Team Sustenance Squad (Mr. Suraj Bhandari, Mr. Ashok Saru Magar and Mr. Suresh Rokaya) as the winner of the One Campus program in Hult Prize at IAAS Paklihawa Campus, TU.

But our team failed to top the regional selection at regional level. A group of students from Pulchowk Engineering Campus have made a product called Mushoor which helps in growing mushrooms in limited space with limited time and effort were able to be in month-long Castle Accelerator program. This program is going to held in England in August. I would like to let you know that they are one of the top 42 teams that will participate and If they get into the top 6, they will present their ideas in the Hult Prize Finals in New York.

Introducing more about this team and hult prize, Mushoor, is a group of four engineering students from IOE Pulchowk Campus. The Hult Prize, called the "Nobel Prize for Students" by most of the world's media, is the world's most renowned startup award. It is offered in collaboration with the United Nations and is backed by former US President Bill Clinton. The winner of this competition is awarded one Million US Dollars in seed capital funding for a university team of students who ideate and implement the best solutions for the most pressing problems of today. Mushoor came in third place in the Hult Prize, an on-campus Hult competition in which 75 teams competed. Mushoor's team has been chosen for the Castle Phase, where it will compete against 42 other teams from around the world. Starting August 8, 2021, the team will go to London for a month-long program. Six teams will be chosen from the London program for the finals, which will be staged at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

Mushoor's proposal aims to make nutritious food more available and affordable to Nepalese individuals who do not meet the recommended dietary guidelines. Their innovative technique will enable people to grow nutritious items such as mushrooms and microgreens in small spaces. If there is a surplus, Mushoor will help individuals in underprivileged neighborhoods sell it, allowing them to make a reasonable living.

Best Wishes to Mushoor for the Castle Accelerator program and hope to see them in the final event.
