World Snake Day

by Paras Kunwar | 16-07-2021 21:25

One of the important day to Remember: July 16, World Snake Day
Every year, July 16 is marked annually as World Snake Day. Aimed at creating awareness and celebrating these mysterious creatures, the day highlights the fact that snakes are threatened by many of the same issues that affect all wildlife, including habitat loss, climate change, and disease.

Human Snake Conflicts with deadly consequences have been observed for many decades, with high risk to children, farm animals, and especially the people in the tropical regions. Along with the human and animal fatalities, around the world, snake populations are in decline because of habitat destruction, disease, over-harvesting, invasive species, and even climate change. These combined threats have brought some snake species ever closer to the brink of extinction.
We should learn and aware people about the ways to overcome the safety hazards brought by the aggressive snakes and their poisonous venom and the foremost steps required to protect and preserve these beautiful creatures, ultimately balancing the food chain on which we are completely relying on.

So, let¡¯s remember the importance of their existence on this special day. Despite being deadly, these long, legless reptiles play an important role in the natural environment and food webs.
Protect this natural pest controller, powerful predator, and integral member of the ecosystem.
Let¡¯s Save Them Together
