The fashion industry, one of the largest contributors to pollution, has grown significantly over the past few years at the cost of the environment.

 A predominant factor of the industry is “fast fashion,” by which consumers continue to buy consistently updated collections at low prices, encouraging rapid production rates and large amounts of discarded clothing. 

Production since 2000 has almost doubled, with 85% of textiles disposed of per year, making environmental sustainability all the more challenging.
