The picture below shows the immediate change after 2 days of powerful participation of Pokhareli Yuwa. But this is not the end. There’s much more to be done by the locals, ward level, Phewa preservation organizations and metropolitan. This was just an example and we have a lot of other places that needs attention and care in Pokhara.

I believe most of us(Insta and fb fam) are aware about the fact that a number of people collectively did clearing and cleaning of small part of Phewa lake today. Firstly We just want to thank all the helping hands those who showed up today and did all the job positively. It wasn't easy at all, wasn't what we had anticipated it to be, wasn't only plastics and bottles. It was full of all possible huwan wastes. You could literally sense the smell of urine, faeces, alcohol, animal dung all over the place. The place was filled with water, was swampy so it wasn't possible for someone to get in, we had to use a boat to get in. The process was really time consuming considering the human resource, equipments and options we had. Took us almost 12 hours to clear the litter partially in two days.
