Nowadays, the topic of ecology and the importance of preserving and helping the environment, including my country, is being promoted more and more actively, in the business area as well. In this article, I want to talk about successful eco-businesses in Kazakhstan.

One of these businesses is the Tazalyk project, founded by Aybek Rahim. With a team of friends, he developed a project and created an app to make recycling easy and enjoyable. In this app, everyone can register and see the Kazakhstan Waste Recycling collection points on the map. For each kilogram, users receive different bonuses and statuses in the form of “caring” and “eco-superhero”. They also began to install eco boxes for separate waste collection in kindergartens, schools, universities, business centers. The goal of the project is to increase the amount of waste recycling by reducing waste from individuals and legal entities to landfills. As Aibek himself says, "Ecoboxes educate the population on a culture of separate waste collection. We give people the opportunity to exchange waste for different gifts. And legal entities that want to become environmentally friendly companies can contact us to install such an eco box. This will teach employees how to sort the garbage. We come to companies for free and collect recyclable waste. We work to develop the eco-culture of the population. This process saves money, and industrial raw materials give waste a "second life." "

Another great initiative, Recycle Birge, was founded by Banu-Akkumis Kuspanova. This is a social movement that is engaged in environmental education, promoting the idea of ​​separate waste collection for a wide range of Almaty residents. It all started with environmental volunteering and community work, which implies not just garbage collection, but the sorting of the collected and handing over the waste for recycling. The goal of the project is to unite people for the implementation of environmental projects.

Banu believes that "caring for nature is the key to our bright future. There is a growing number of waste collection points in Almaty. And people should reduce plastic among their daily use. We run eco blogs to promote sustainable lifestyles. We like to inspire people."

Currently implemented projects: installed containers for RSO in Nurlytau introduced RSO in the offices of Almaty Marathon, Life Deco, in Bobek college. They also conducted training for children at an international school in Almaty, held “Earth Hour” together with the Art City event agency, a large eco-Saturday in the mountains together with “Visit Almaty” and Campit. kz.

And last but not least, the Eco-poof eco-business initiative was created by Timur Korobeinikov. As Timur says, “In November 2018, our team of four medical students went to the Astana Innovations Challenge start-up competition. In 54 hours it was necessary to solve one of the tasks. bottle. And as a solution, we chose pieces of furniture - ottomans. We immediately positioned ourselves as a long-term project, we wanted to continue this business. Within the framework of the project, we took third place and purchased equipment for the cash prize. "

In production, they use cardboard and plastic. The plastic is transformed using a special device. An ordinary bottle is turned into a tape of a certain width and used as structural solutions for our furniture. A shock-absorbing cushion is created from plastic, with the help of which the desired shape is given to the seat. It acts as orthopedic support between the chair and the person.

Timur says that “we combined the idea of ​​reuse and the creation of a useful object. We studied the topic of posture correction. The fundamental difference between the fit on the orthopedic seat is that the angle between the body and the hips should be 90 degrees. In this position, the lower back can maintain a natural curve and the whole back is straightened. No extra time is required to create it, just modify a regular chair."

Thanks to these eco-businesses, a culture of recycling, reuse, and understanding of the concept of preserving the environment is developing in my country. Hopefully, there will be more environmental initiatives in the future.
