 Earth Hour is the worldwide movement which encourage all the individual and communities to switch off lights for 1 hour . This campaign is held on the last Saturday of every March. This annual tradition was held for the first time in Sydney and was started by WWF with the aim of shutting all light for an entire hour as their commitment toward our mother earth. Talking about the importances of Earth hour, it is a global and effective action that creates awareness, unite people together aiming to protect the environment and finally encourage individual to bring other measures to protect the environment. This small action can save huge amount of energy. This year the event is happening with the aim "Climate Change to Save Earth".As being one of the eco warrior, I felt happy today to be the part of this global action.The entire non-essential lights were turned off for 1 hour. This 1 hour darkness is definitely the matter of proud moment for me. |
