FREE REPORT: EARTH HOUR 2021

by Meena Pandey | 28-03-2021 00:31

The earth hour is the simple idea that quickly turned into a global phenomenon in which people all over the world come turn off their lights on the last Saturday of March at 8.30 pm. This is done so as to symbolize their commitment to save the plant; common home of all the creatures. The crux for the celebration of the earth hour is to show our concern towards the climate change. The celebration of earth hour was started from Australia in 31 March, 2007in the support for climate action and in the present context more than 180 countries celebrates the earth hour.

The idea of the Earth hour was imposed by WWF with the aim to lighten the knowledge on the importance of the environment and protest against every illegal or immoral act that harms the environment. In spite of the fact that we celebrate the earth hour for only an hour it aims to protect the planet for its sustainability not only during the period of celebration of the earth hour but everytime. One hour light off campaign looks really small, but actually, it is a really easy and efficient campaign to preserve energy.

Being a regional ambassador of TUNZA eco-generation, I also turned the light for an hour, felt blessed to be the part of the global action for climate changeEvery small act matters; so my colleagues, juniors, seniors in my hostel was also eager to know about it and I felt privileged to explain and make them comprehend regarding the global action I am a part of. Thank you TUNZA eco-generation for providing such an elite platform to amaze everybody around us.
