November Report #2- Car

The Prius
The Toyota Prius was dubbed the most "eco-frinedly car of the year" 2016. It is a relatively cheap car that is a hybrid, so it became popular rather quickly. The three main facts that determine its green nature are energy efficiency and fuel, green movement investment, and minimal part and maintenance.

The Toyota Prius doesn't sacrifice good mpg for eco-friendliness. It has an average of 51 mpg in cities and costs about $2 to drive a Prius 25 miles. The plug-in mode is highly recommended for those who want to travel long drives. The energy monitor informs the car passengers when it's low on battery to let them know they can either plug-in or fill w/ gas.

The Prius costs anywhere from $24,000 to $36,000. The older models can be as little as $15,000. The low prices of the Prius can serve as an investment to greener living, as it keeps tonnes of co2 away from the atmosphere, while being cheap compared to other cars.

Although the Prius might look like it needs a lot of attention, it actually does not have a need for maintenance super frequently. It is very similar to maintenance of other cars despite it being a hybrid vehicle. There are simply oil leaks and tune-ups. Battery parts cost near $1600 and these prices are reducing every year.

Hope you enjoyed learning about Priuses.
