The Lokta Paper is a Nepalese handmade paper made of the bark of the Lokta plant.  Lokta(¡°Daphne Bhoula¡± or ¡°Daphne Papyracea¡±) is an indigenous plant in Nepal. Lokta regenerates naturally Hence, it has no adverse effect on the environment.  Lokta paper is recyclable and eco-friendly. It helps in the economic improvement of rural people because the lokta paper industry employs a lot of people. Lokta paper is also exported to the foreign country. They are mainly used in government documents, religious books. But now they are used in wrapping paper, restaurant menus, Gift boxes, calendars, photo frames, etc
