      Talking about environmental jobs and me, I am still a student and have no any paid jobs. However, I have been engaged in facilitating in several environmental jobs of environmentalist. I am a veterinarian, and have been engaged in animal services. Apart from this, in my free time, I love to work in field. During the Lockdown period due to CoVid 19, I had been engaged in marigold cultivation. I had grown around 100 marigold. Marigold flowers cultivation is commercialized in our country. However, I didn't want to sell it, instead I cultivated marigold for sharing among neighbors and relatives as a gift in festivals. In Hindu culture, marigold has a huge significance. So, taking opportunity of lockdown, I cultivated and gifted marigold flowers among close ones. In addition to this, when I am in university, I sow and grow some seasonal vegetables and some plants. This time I had sowed pea, chilly coriander, pumpkin and Amala in hostel. It has already sprouted and is growing. I have reported on it sowing on my previous reports. Since, I am a veterinarian, we have to study about several medicinal herbs and ethnomedicinal plants, and have been working on relevant and usefulness of medicinal plants in South East Asia. I have been updating on these medicinal herbs in Tunza also, in certain interval. Likewise, from Tunza itself, we had established a small green club in the Viddya Bikash English Boarding School where we run several greenary activities like afforestation, green quiz and several awareness campaign. Similarly, with the Eco friendly promotional goods from Tunza Eco Generation, I have been visiting the orphanage and sharing it among them along with some awareness campaigns on environment. Visualizing all these activities, I have been assigned as a coordinator by Bharatpur Metropolitan City for the Eco friendly awareness campaign among 10 schools of Bharatpur city. Workers from ministry were impressed by the work and I was awarded as the most inspirational coordinator of the campaign. Talking about all these activities, I don't regard them as my environmental jobs instead I regard them as my responsibility towards mother Earth who has relentlessly fulfilling our wants with no greed. Writing all the words, it really felt good about the fact many people are being influenced by the activities, at the same time these activities are just a initiation because we have a lot more to do. |
