In this social media world, everyone is posting things about the environment conservation, but probably all of them are not physically involved in this activity. Environment awareness not only teach about environment and its problem but also gives better standard of living. I believe one of the best environmental job is teaching. In my point of view, job is not only about work and salary; it is all about expression of knowledge and attitude. Teacher, simply means who teaches; can be a mother, family, friends, society, academic teacher, it may have different forms. Sometimes, you can be your own teacher. In this report, I have simply described how my mother and schoolteachers helped me to be a better person in this world we have responsibilities and opportunities.

It is said that mother is the first teacher of the child and from her the teaching of the lessons of life begins. Sometimes I remember the days of the past, what examples my mother used to give to teach me something good. She used to have her own bag to buy vegetables in the market; I used to think that polythene plastic is available in the market, why my mother is carrying always the same? She had a habit collecting small pieces of iron, plastics unused so that she could exchange it with potatoes and onions. At that time, I realized that plastics and iron pieces will go for recycle and reuse; seeing her own bag got me a sense of reducing plastics. She teaches me to plant some herbs in religious occasions, we still do watering of Ficus religiosa (or sacred fig) every morning of Saturday. My mother does not have formal education degree but she has adopted social and ecofriendly good manners, which is also inherited to me.

Education is a powerful tool, which help in transforming socio-economic impact of the society, it helps mind to think logically. Teachers are the agent for this social change, plays crucial role in shaping the behavior of youngsters to market desire for environmental protection. Teachers not only do classroom-based teachings, but also organize activities outside classrooms related to environment conservation. They provide examples regarding environmental issues in their respective subjects, link with the environment, whatever may be the topic, and they give both positive and negative aspects that what will happen to the earth if we do not care about environment. Teachers can also educate about the awareness on renewable and non-renewable resources, teach about the sustainable development, and provide basic knowledge about the environment, its problem and role of human beings. They are also making students aware of the fundamental duties for their country regarding the protection, and improvement of natural environment like wildlife, forest, rivers, lakes, etc. Teachers’ method of teaching regarding environmental components can be storytelling, games, physical observation, educational trips, etc.

Environment conservation and preservation is the most important for everyone’s life. Without bettering environment no, one can imagine life on this earth. We should protect it not only from social media, but also by making some activities regarding environmental issues. Government should also organize camps regarding environmental issues. In schools not only bookish knowledge should be given students should come out of the boundary wall of school and should take trip to their surroundings and organize an environment awareness camp with the help of schools. At last, I want to state that keep our surroundings clean, keep our environment clean, so that every person can learn how to take care of surroundings. Not only teachers or environment activist should take care of the environment, but it is a duty of every person in our country to conserve and preserve environment.
