[Thematic Report January:Environmental Jobs]

by Vazira Ikhtiyorova | 12-01-2021 23:52

Dear all,

Hope you are doing well. I was thrilled to tell you my experience about environmental jobs. Despite the fact that it was a very short period to be as an eco-project coordinator. My very first experience began with Tunza, obviously which let me participate at an international program-Junior Engineering Academy.

Having an amazing experience with experts and masters in this eco-field, I got to know more environmental jobs which surprised me a lot. Yet, let me tell you what I have done so far as an intern/volunteer. The Eco-Projects Coordinator manages a team which conducts or prepares any event or social surveys regarding ecology. For example, young people are encouraged to be a part of Eco-Week or help to pick plastic bottles in the street. It is full of fun and excitement when the group of people are future change-makers.  Moreover, I had an experince of being one of organizers at TEDx Countdown which was related to ecology. Hence, I believe that this field is hghly demanded in a rapidly changing environment. We do not need to speak but act with an Eco-position.

There is one more environmental job I would like to tell you about which I found out while researching. The Environmental Technician is the one who is responsible for laboratory and its investigations. According to statitics (thebalancecareers.com), about 17,000 environmental technicians worked in the U.S. in 2016. I just wanted to mention that if you are way more sociable and extrovert, highly suggest to become a project manager, while closed or slightly introverts are encouraged to be as an Eco-Technicians. Hope I could convey, thanks!
