After a long break due to exam, here's an update on medicinal herbs again.
English name,: Pimpinella diversifolia
Local name (Nepali): Bhoke phool/Sonf

This herb belong to apiaceae family. Flower decoction is used in the treatment of cough and cold. It grows in waste places within grass in fertile foam. It is a small herb of 1 metre height. It is widely found in Pakistan, China, India, Nepal, Burma, and in other parts of world. Stem is erect. Plant is branched with herbaxerous and green stem. Leaves young are undivided, simple, with serrate margin, older are more finally cut and pinnate.

The flowers of Pimpinella are yellowish-white, small, numerous in umbal.
The fruit is small and oval shaped. 125 gram of dried plant material of the plant is dried, and 2-3 teaspoonful of common salt are ground together and stores in a glass or plastic bottle fivern to patients suffering from indigestion, abdominal swelling, gas trouble and stomach disorders.

Fresh leaves and twigs are used in chutneys and curries to improve taste and as a carminative agent. Pimpinella also includes an aromatic herb. The aromatic herb can be used for making aromatic products. Pimpinella, this has medicinal as well as other advantages.
