by Dolma Diki Sherpa | 19-12-2020 01:48

Nepal is an agricultural country where 68% of the people are directly engaged in farming. Due to lack of knowledge and technology Nepali farmer are unable to produce sufficient amount of output in our country. Marketing of agriculture products is major constraints where middleman get higher profit and farmer get low profit. Sugarcane farmer of Nepal protested with demanding payment of their dues. Farmer came from Sarlahi (Terai part of Nepal) to capital city Kathmandu to protest against sugarmill industry. It is not a first time, farmer protest against sugarmill industry last year also. Government, sugarmill industry, farmer negotiated last year and sugarmill persuade to pay all dues in one month. But sugarmill industry omitted their negotiation. Farmer become helpless and came to capital city in these cold season. The agitating farmer say that they will continue their protest untill they get paid . We hope government will listen woes of farmer and facilate negotiation to pay all dues to farmer . It is really sad to hear that farmer are unable to get their own income
