Eco-Friendly Mobility (Thematic Report)

by Anoushka Sinha | 20-11-2020 05:02

Hello Eco-Warriors I hope you are doing amazing, I am really glad I get to discuss about the topic  "Eco-friendly Mobility"
First let¡¯s get a quick idea of what this means, Eco friendly mobility contributes to the conservation of environment. It also looks in the manufacturing and disposal of the vehicles and their parts, so that they can be later recycled and reused also.

In my country I have come across many such new Eco Friendly  mobility sources which have been developed so as to curb the increasing ill effects of the emissions from the automobiles and transportation. Fossil fuels emit harmful gases that pollute the air, also the fossil fuel deposits on the earth are not going to last forever given the growth of the world economy.

Let¡¯s talk about the most recent Eco Friendly mobility sources that have been developed and used in my country. In the state of Maharashtra to promote this an initiative called the Eco-friendly Mobility for Clean Air¡¯ by Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) to discuss and plan out and come up with solutions to solve this problem. A group of people in the state of Uttar Pradesh designed and built a zero emission solar electric vehicle in its bid to identify a sustainable, environmentally-friendly mode of transportation. The Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles  introduced a 5 % cut in gst (goods and service tax)on electric vehicles saying it is in line with the government's steps to promote eco-friendly mobility. This was done to reduce the gst gap between the normal engine and eco friendly vehicles thus making more people opt for these Eco friendly vehicles. A whole new system of electric buses was even launched by the President Of India The bus features excellent battery life, with a range of 200 kilometres fully charged. Many such new Eco friendly mobility vehicles and awareness Events have started all throughout India. People have been actively and more surprisingly been switching to these modes of travel.

Let¡¯s try and understand why we need this, not only is the problem of emissions and pollution increasing day by day it is increasing the burden on the very few available resources. We only have a limited number of fuel resources and limited capacity to sustain these growing numbers of populations. We also need to understand that the increasing burden to pay for these vehicles and increasing fuels cost is not easy for every one. The pressure to keep the costs from rising is one that governments face. People have to bear the burden of taxes and also the brunt of pollution is faced by people who don¡¯t have good facilities to shield themselves from this increasing climate crisis.

Thus the only solution that suits the well being of people and also protects the environment is Eco Friendly Mobility. It not only is a cheaper alternative but also a green way to travel. I have seen many of my friends using electric means of transport like scooter and car. These are easy to use, cheap and also environmentally effective and friendly.
Green Cheers,
