by Meena Pandey | 20-11-2020 23:45

Most often, I use walking and cycling as the eco-friendly mobility. There are a lot of environmental benefits of walking and using bicycles besides health benefits.

I prefer walking if there is not any time bound to reach in the destination. I love walking because walking makes me cheerful and the tired legs makes me sleepy soon enabling the sound and deep sleep. When we walk, it influences other people by our way of walking. Similarly, it reduces the cost of bus fare. Not only that when many people use their legs as a mode of their transportation, there will be considerable decrease in the number of moving automobiles. Walking is beneficial for our health. Walking strengthens our heart. It is good for our health. Walking improves physical function. It also lowers the blood pressure and diabetes level.

In case I am in hurry and reach to the destination timely, I use bicycle. Cycling is an essential part of sustainable transportation. It can be an efficient way to address the transportation needs of a growing population. Cycling is a good option for air pollution management and it plays key role in mitigating the climate change through the reduced greenhouse gas emissions. It also improves quality public space. Cycling is more efficient option for shorter distance transportation. Promotion of cycling helps to increase the efficiency of the urban transport system. Similarly, investment in the cycling has high cost-benefit ratio. Cycling can be a good option of minimization of sound pollution.

Thus, if we make our eco-friendly mobility, we can influence a number of people to follow our eco-act. So, besides the long route travel I use walking and cycling as the efficient way of mobility. I want to recommend all the eco-warriors to follow walking and cycling because of its tremendous health and environmental benefits.
