OCTOBER FREE REPORT [ CONSERVATION OF WILDLIFE]

by Godfred Owusu | 23-10-2023 17:42

The rate at which the wildlife in our communities is decreasing is alarming due to human activities and development. If we don't act now as young leaders and volunteers future generation will suffer and blame us. Below is the poem written to draw our attention to conserve wildlife in our communities. Let's read:

In the depths of nature's realm, where wild creatures roam,
A battle for survival, a story yet unknown.
Amidst the towering trees and rivers that flow,
A plea for wildlife conservation, let it echo and grow.

In the heart of the wilderness, where harmony resides,
A fragile balance disrupted by human strides.
A call to protect these beings, so majestic and rare,
To cherish their existence, to show them we care.

The mighty lion, king of the savannah's grace,
His roar echoes through the plains, a symbol of his place.
But his kingdom is shrinking, his pride under threat,
As greed and destruction cast a shadow on their fate.

The graceful elephants, guardians of the land,
Their wisdom and strength, an emblem so grand.
Yet ivory hunters lurk, seeking their precious prize,
Leaving behind sorrow and empty skies.

The soaring eagle, ruler of the skies above,
With wings that carry dreams, a symbol of love.
But as habitats diminish, their freedom is at stake,
We must shield them from harm, for their sake.

The playful dolphins, dancing in the ocean's embrace,
Their laughter brings joy to every watery space.
Yet plastic pollution engulfs their watery home,
Threatening their future, where will they roam?

The gentle turtles, ancient travelers of the sea,
Their journey spans oceans, a marvel to see.
But as beaches turn to concrete, their nesting grounds disappear,
We must safeguard their homes, for they hold memories dear.

So let us unite, hand in hand we stand,
To preserve these wonders, entrusted to our land.
Through education and awareness, we shall ignite,
A flame of compassion, shining ever so bright.

For wildlife conservation is not just a choice,
It's a duty we owe to nature's voice.
Let us protect these creatures, so precious and rare.
