Movies powerfully impact on people, especially, films about environmental issues can significantly raise people's awareness of the problems and lead to starting to act. Now I would like to tell you about one of my favorite environmental films, which is named WALL-E. This animated movie without sacrificing a fun and interesting story expose children as well as adults to environmental issues. WALL-E is set in a dystopian future where Earth has turned into a barren wasteland void of life due to humans' failure to care for it. Humans have started living on a spaceship, going through their daily lives on comfortable hovering chairs. But they do not look or act like normal humans, they are too lazy and passive. They are alive but not well. Therefore, the responsibility to clean up rubbish has been undertaken by the last robot on Earth, WALL-E. Moreover, the viewer can observe a cute love scene when WALL-E falls in love with a high-tech model EVE, which had an important mission: finding put whether or not life can exist on Earth again in order to bring humans back to it. Together, they embark on a fun space adventure. Overall, I think the film is filled with symbolism and messages, for instance, the WALL-E's discovery of a tiny little green plant, which he keeps potted in a dirty old shoe is a metaphor that our Earth is fragile and without care, it can be destroyed. The film serves as a social commentary of consumerist culture, depicting humans as greedy beings that were the root cause of the piles of garbage left on Earth. Already, today we can observe what leads to improper waste disposal and the film warns its viewers that our future could be even worse. I suppose WALL-E's big message of environmentalism isn't just the grand idea that we need to save the planet, but that no action is too minuscule, and no plant too small. That little steps can lead to big results. photo source: https://images.app.goo.gl/ETXRk6xhAnSP4jMHA
