WALL-E, a post-catastrophe movie
What happens if the earth is populated by robots? There is no life existence and the last human population was evacuated due to catastrophe. The Hollywood animated film WALL-E tells a story around this subject. The story starts with a moving object trying to escape some extra-terrestrial force. The object is a human-like robot called WALL-E. He has human feelings, can move, and also needs battery recharge to function. He is portrayed as a human form of machine. After the catastrophe hits earth there is nothing left, everything is garbage and our hero is appointed to manage that garbage. There are no humans on earth. During the movie, he manages to escape the difficult situation and in the end, he becomes able to convince people to return to the earth as there may be some life left in form of a seedling. The movie is an animated movie with a realistic voice-over and story plot. It is directed by Andrew Stanton and is commercially and critically successful. WALL-E follows a solitary trash compactor robot on a future, uninhabitable, deserted Earth, left to clean up garbage. However, he is visited by a probe sent by the starship Axiom, a robot called EVE, with whom he falls in love and pursues across the galaxy.
The hero of the film shows the hopeless future of humans. They live here but have no clue what will happen tomorrow. The only thing they care about is to live today, enjoy the fullest. A seed found on barren land is a ray of hope. The hope cultivates in the human mind and takes the form of an idea. An idea to change the existing rules and regulations. The garbage in the movie is our dreams, our fate sealed in the future. The story motivates us to act for a cause as the hero of the movie does. WALL-E is alone on the earth but he represents the entire human population.
Please save trees, stop excessive consumption of natural resources, let the nature to heal. Walk with nature not against her. The movie beautifully guides us to work for the future because as of now we don¡¯t have a very bright one.
