As we all know that, after the outbreak of Covid19, not only CoVid 19 but also hunger, poverty and mental health issues flooded badly and are also not less than pandemic. On the occasion of World Mental Health Day 2020, I was invited as a guest speaker to share my stories during lockdown period. Basically the things that I have been doing during this time to keep mental health healthy. Thank you YFEED for giving platform to share my experiences.

Human by behavior are freedom loving, but the shutdown has made everyone get confined into a space. It's obviously quite difficult to every individuals. However, this is not the case of one individual but is of world. Since human is intellectual creature, to control and adapt according to time is the ability that makes them different from other creatures.

Still, human emotions gets fluctuate greatly; if the fluctuation is for short period of time, it's fine. But the overwhelming emotions if gets sustained becomes problem. And it might grow as a mental health problem. So, we must be conscious about it especially when we are isolating ourselves.

It's found that the level of serotonin, glutamate in the body drops down in the patient with mental health problem; however we can control it by via meditation and exercise, yoga; that's why people are recommended to follow up yoga to keep themselves healthy.

A human thinks much especially they think more about the fear that is more unlikely to happen in the future and is increasing negative psychological effect in body. So, let's think positive even if our thoughts come true or not, these positive thoughts would obviously brings a positive vibration in our body and a positive aura. We can also share our problems to the person we trust must. Apart from this, we can get engage in musics or arts or into the nature or in several hobbies that helps to take away from negative thoughts.

If I have to talk about me, I spend my time in knitting, playing music like keyboard and ukulele, and in the morning following five senses meditation, yoga and in the evening watching birds singing songs while flying. This gives me very soothing effect. Sometimes, I also hear Sadhguru meditation speech which I find very calm.

Everyone has their own way to tackle the situation, so let's not give our negative emotions underestimate our positive emotions. And mental health well being is not limited to ownself. We must also take care of people around us, and also animals. More specifically I would say, aged people, we must pay special attention towards them.

What do you do to keep yourself mentally healthy?
Stay positive, and keep your mental health fit.
