Let's rethink our actions towards our environment.

Today, Guinean cities are among the areas in which the issue of environmental management remains an ongoing concern. Environmental damage is widespread and increasing. Several classified forests are threatened with extinction. These forests, which once made the vegetation landscape green and preserved the surrounding waterways, exist only in name today. Because 78% of them are destroyed or continue to suffer from human activities harmful to their existence (Data from the Ministry of the Environment). Insalubrity is the dominant reality in this country, the rate of garbage collection does not even reach 15% (Data from the Ministry of Sanitation). Most of its rivers are threatened by mountains of garbage. Due to a lack of civil behavior, citizens have turned the rivers into a garbage dump. A situation that constitutes an ordeal for the citizens who are housed close to the bed of these rivers.

Due to a lack of ignorance and parental control, children living near these rivers bathe in these polluted rivers and consume this water for drinking and others use it for household activities (laundry, dishes ...). This situation leads to an increase in the rate of waterborne disease among children in this community.

In spite of all these factors it is time for us to change our behavior towards our environment for its survival while maintaining its balance. This will create a living environment for the children and finally allow them to grow up in an environment favorable to their development. Today, in some localities of Guinea there are some children and young people who are making the local authorities and their parents aware of their responsibility towards the protection of the environment through awareness-raising actions, the creation of green spaces and reforestation. Although these actions have achieved their objective, much effort remains to be done to save our environment.
