Awareness on No Food Waste

by Kushal Naharki | 07-10-2020 16:34

Food is an essential need, vital for health and wellbeing but unfortunately the numbers of people dying of starvation have increased. In a world where one in nine people worldwide still suffer from hunger ironically food waste is one of the contributor of the global problem like Climate Change also.

People must be conscious and make best utilization of food without wasting because large amount of money, energy and resources have been invested on the food from farmers in the field, manufacturing company to the people cooking it at home. There's a lot we can do to reduce the food waste that's costing our families, depleting our natural resources, and contributing to climate change with planning ahead, storage of leftover foods and donating foods to people and animals,

We can also produce our own vegetables for ourselves in our kitzen garden which makes us understand the importace of food more. The best way is to be responsible to not waste food at all but just incase of production, decomposable waste produced can also be turned into compost. There aren't waste but nutrients for soil.

Lets all be responsible for our action and contribute to achieve sdg on Zero Hunger and Sustainable production and consumption to achieve.
