Environmental movies - What is its green message?

by Amina Kabdyrakym | 07-10-2020 17:21

I have watched the No Impact Man documentary film. This film tells about the importance of making no waste to the environment. While one person can produce an enormous amount of bin per year, the family in the house tried to use no light, compost their leftover food. They tried to use bio-degradable diapers for their child.

I chose this film because I was interested in the zero-waste principle. Now the zero-waste principle is the easiest way of caring about nature, and by watching this movie I started to believe that I can be a hero just by riding a bicycle as transportation, not using an elevator. These actions are so helpful for our health. We move more, and we become more healthy. The film's relationship to the environment was positive and caring. The male character and the father of this family was the initiator of this project, and everyone from the family supported him. The family tried to find a way how to produce no waste by using a bicycle, using stairs instead of the elevator. Also, they bought products using their pocket.

Its green message to watchers was to conserve our environment by producing no waste instead of following the last trend, using the products wisely. Also, to prove that we can help the environment by not harming it with our consumption. They wanted to show that even one day of following their rule can be eco-friendly to our environment if they would live like them.

What I have learned from this movie is that I can be a super-hero of my planet by doing wise consumption.
