How a Woman Can Look and Feel Her Best By Connecting With Nature

by Kevin Devoto | 03-10-2020 14:16

It's not easy being a woman. Life seems to put extra demands on the female half of the population. After all, not only do women contribute to the household income, but they bear the brunt of child rearing duties, keeping the home in order, and meal preparations. A lot of these responsibilities are holdouts from the last century, and younger generations are showing signs of more shared responsibility. Even so, it's a crazy world and it can be difficult to remind yourself to slow down and take a breath. If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, here are some tips to help you be your best.

1. Get Your Hormones in Check

In the first half of her adulthood, a woman's hormones are like a roller coaster ride, shifting day to day and sometimes hour by hour. While this ride is a part of life, it's not a ride anyone cares to be on. You can lessen the effects of hormone imbalances by incorporating hormone balance supplements into your daily routine.

2. Spend Time Outdoors

You don't have to be a nature nut to spend time outdoors, but you should try to get some outdoor time every week. Even just sitting in a city park will provide benefits to you. Studies show that spending time outdoors can lower your blood pressure and improve your mental health. They also show it benefits you cognitively by improving short-term memory and possibly even improving your ability to focus. Sitting in that office chair every day for hours a day isn't going to come close to providing those same benefits.

3. Love Yourself

Women are competitive, and unfortunately, they are competitive with one another. If you find yourself comparing yourself to someone else you work with, whether it's your level of success, your style choices, or your beauty routine, it's time to stop. This is just another way women are hard on themselves. Don't compare yourself to others because everything about you is just as special. When you possess envy for others, you're just dulling your own shine. Besides, your worth and value are much greater than what's on the surface. Love who you are on the inside and others will, too. Don't be hard on yourself. Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder, and you control how you see yourself.

4. Feel Fully

Don't be afraid to allow your emotions to show themselves. There is no shame in feeling moved by events, moments, or words. Whether they make you laugh or cry, don't fear allowing it to come out. If you try to contain your emotions, you have to learn to numb them, and attempting to numb them can lead to unhappiness. If someone thinks it's ridiculous that you allow your emotions to shine, that's okay. You can't control how they think, just like they can't control how you feel. So, laugh, cry and rejoice. It's part of the beauty that is you.

5. Get Physical

The better your health the better you feel. The better you feel the more you glow. Getting physical improves your beauty inside and out. The glow comes from the increased oxygen throughout your body, and your body and its cells love oxygen. It also increases your focus, gives you more energy and helps you sleep better There are so many benefits to exercise, and it's one of the most simple things you can do for yourself. Try getting at least 20 minutes of cardio every day, even if it's just walking during your lunch break.

6. Eat Well

Nutrition is also important for how you look and feel. For ultimate physical and cognitive function, you should be getting your recommended daily allowances from all the food groups. This can be difficult in a fast-paced and demanding world. The best thing you can do is cook for yourself using natural ingredients, but this isn't feasible for everyone. The next best thing you can do is avoid eating junk and take supplements in addition to the fast but healthy meals you can enjoy.

7. Get Plenty of Sleep

Just like nutrition and exercise, getting plenty of sleep is also vital to your cognitive and physical function. When you don't get enough sleep, you're setting yourself up for a constant feeling of fatigue. If you're always tired, you can't present your best self. You should always have the goal to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night, but every person's individual needs may vary. You could need a little more or a little less. Find out how much sleep allows you to function best and then make sure you get to bed at an hour that allows you to accomplish that sleep.

Taking care of yourself so that you look and feel great isn't difficult, but it does require some dedication. Fortunately, you have it in you to do it.
