These forests are home for many different species of  various kinds of flora & fauna.They provide nesting & breeding habitat for many migratory birds, turtles, snakes, fishes and a lot of mammals like wild cats, deer,fox etc.Mangroves are essential for maintaining water quality as their intertwining roots help in absorbing toxic substances.Mangroves are also carbon powerhouse since they sequester carbon at 2-4 times greater than mature tropical forest.They also acts as shore barriers for coastal areas , & save them from fatal hurricanes and cyclones.Therefore it is very important to use these resources judiciously & in a sustainable manner. Thus decline in mangroves will lead to a great loss of biodiversity which will directly lead to climate change and decline in human population.SO think twice before misusing the resources,instead use in a judicious manner.
